Preparation and self-assembly of monodisperse microspheres

We study processes for preparing monodisperse spherical particles of metals and semiconductors with submicrometer to micrometer diameters. Surface modification of microspheres with a polymer patch is also studied. We aim to realize a directional self-assembly of microspheres.
