Here is a list of my favorite movies. If you are interested in any one of these movies, watch it.

  1. Seven Samurai. 1954. Director: Akira Kurosawa. Starring: Toshiro Mifune.
This is the very best among many renowned Kurosawa movies. Humanism in the movie is impressive.

  2. The Umbrellas of Cherbourg. 1963. Director: Jacques Demy. Starring: Catherine Deneuve, and Nuno Castelnuovo.
This is a musical film. It makes us realize how congenial the soul is with music; for we are moved and our tears come out as we listen to music.

  3. Paris, Texas. 1984. Director: Wim Wenders. Starring: Harry Dean Stanton, and Nastassja Kinski.
There are many symbolic, beautiful scenes in the movie. The dialogue between Travis (Stanton) and Jane (Kinski) is so moving.

  4. Shall We Dance?. 1996. Director: Masayuki Suo. Starring: Koji Yakusho, and Naoto Takenaka.
Although the characters are stereotypes, this movie is very well made. Takenaka's performance is marvelous.
