Yasuhito Ito is a student of Master's course at the advanced polymeric nanocomposite materials laboratory from last April, 2003. He is devoting on the nanostructure control of intercalated polycarbonate/clay nanocomposites by using a compatibilizer. The intercalated PC/clay nanocomposites exhibited remarkable improvements of mechanical properties when compared with PC without clay. He is studying on a foam processing of the intercalated nanocomposites by using supercritical CO₂ at 10MPa in a batch process.
