Yu Ema is a candidate of Bachelor’s degree at the advanced polymeric nanocomposite materials laboratory from this April. He is interested in a renewable source-based polymeric nanocomposite system. To improve materials properties of polylactide, he has applied polymer/layered silicate nanocomposite technology, and materials properties were concurrently improved after nanocomposites preparation with organically modified layered silicates using simple melt intercalation technique.
